NP Times Summary of first two tournaments!

The New Prague Archery Club has been hard at work this year. The club is 125 archer’s strong in K-12th grade. Their first tournament was held on January 21st at St. Mary’s in White Bear Lake. The team had a lot of new and old shooters competing. In the male elementary division New Prague had 3 archers place in the top 5. Parker Precht placed 5th with a score of 272, Lakin Gareis placed 4th with a score 275, and taking top honors was Logan Geer with 289. Hanna Mooney was the top elementary female just missing the awards stand by placing 6th with a score 246. In the Middle School division the top 2 male shooters was Jack Siegle placing 17th with a score of 261 and Louis Marcell placed 20th with a score of 253. The Middle School females had 2 archers place in the top 5. Callie Schroeder placed 5th with a score of 263 and Abby Sirek placed 2nd with a score 277. In the High School male division Dylan Chlan placed 7th and Nate Boyer was 15th. For the High School female Amanda Schoenbauer shot her very best to place 6th with a score 273 and Bobbi Atkinson placed 2nd with a 278. Congrats to all the New Prague Archers on a great start to the season. In the male youth division Ryan Geer placed first with a score of 285 and Brandon Love placed 5th in his very first tournament ever. For the female youth we had two place in the top five with Maggie Schulte placing 5th and Riley Siegle taking 3rd place.
The second tournament was held February 4th at Chisago High School. Everyone improved again from the first tournament. Here are the place winners. Starting with the High School, Andrew Maruska placed 4th with a score of 282. Stephanie Medina places 4th in the High school female along with Erin Wadekamper shooting a season best of 278 and Bobbie Atkinson tied for first but lost on a tie breaking system to finish second again with the score 283. In the Middle School Lilly Schulte placed 4th with a personal best of 278. The top Middle School boys were Bryce Horejsi shooting a personal best along with Dakota Skluzacek. In the elementary division the team had 3 places in the top 5. Hanna Mooney placed 5th, Laken Gareis finished 3rd, and once again Logan placed first in the Elementary Division with a score 289. Not only did Logan win the Elementary Division he also took home the honor of top male shooter in the tournament. He had the highest score of the tournament and was Tournament Champion. In the Youth Division we had Ryan Geer take first in the youth male and Maggie Schulte for the second time got on the podium with a 5th place finish in youth female.
