Home » Softball NewsSB: Heritage Christian rallies past Wheaton AcademyApril 5, 2011 Heritage Christian High SchoolHeritage Christian got a taste of out-of-state competition March 31 in an early season battle with Wheaton Academy of Illinois. The Eagles fell into a 4-2 hole early but rallied with two runs in the fifth inning and another in the sixth to take a 5-4 decision. Pitcher Taylor Roach settled down in the circle after a rough start to get the win, surrendering two runs in the second inning and two more in the fourth. But she held Wheaton scoreless over the final three frames, allowing four runs on seven hits and striking out eight in a complete-game performance. The big bat for the Eagles on this day belonged to Samantha Cohron, who went 2 for 3 with an RBI.
