Union Star High School


Basketball team won 3rd place in the Osborn Tournament.  They defeated the Cardinals of Stewartsville 50-40 Saturday night to bring home the 3rd place trophy.  They were led by Sr. Guard Sean O'Dell who dealt out 10 assists.  Leading the Trojans in scoring was Sophomore forward Ryan Hutchcraft who tallied 17 points which was a career high.  Nick Palmer had his 4th double-double of the season scoring 16 points and pulling down 10 rebounds.  Other scorers for the Trojans were Sophomres Jake Mitchell with 3 points and Albert Moran with 2.  The Trojans also got some big play out of fresmen Kolby Barnett and Dillon Sonderegger.  Barnett had 7 points and 3 steals in the contest.

 Next up for the Trojans an away game vs Nodaway-Holt Tuesday night with tip-off at 6:00.
