Mac Irvin, 'Godfather' of Chicago basketball, dies

McGlother "Mac" Irvin, known as the "Godfather" of Chicago basketball for founding one of the most prominent club programs in the country, died Saturday. He was 74. Mr. Irvin, a diabetic, had been hospitalized since July while battling complications from the disease. More »
