The Illinois High School Association now has a state-sanctioned championship in bass fishing. In Florida, girls have an apportunity to win a state title in flag football. Several states are offering championships in sports that are a bit out of the ordinary.   More »

IHSA Gives Approval to Make Lacrosse Official Spring Sport

The Illinois High School Association's board approved a state lacrosse series for boys and girls beginning with the 2010-11 school year. If the minimum number of programs registers by February 2011 - 65 boys teams and 40 girls teams - it will officially become a spring sport.   More »
