Home » Boys' Tennis NewsZaderej Takes FourthOctober 22, 2012 South Bend Riley High SchoolINDIANAPOLIS — Riley senior Aaron Zaderej finished fourth Saturday at the IHSAA Individual State Tennis Championships.
Zaderej lost in the semifinals to Park Tudor’s Dan Rayl, 6-1, 6-1, before falling in the consolation match to Ian Landwehr of Yorktown, 6-1, 6-2. Zaderej is the first Riley player to place in the top four at the IHSAA state finals. He finishes his senior season 25-3. The Culver Military Academy doubles duo of Austin and Alec Proeh also finished fourth. The Proehs lost to Noah Moss and Will Seger of Jasper, 6-0, 7-6 (1) in the morning semifinal match, then fell to Brebeuf’s Carlo Alviar and Seth Gochnauer, 6-1, 6-3, in the consolation match.
