Zaderej Moves on to Final Round

Riley singles player Aaron Zaderej, along with the Penn doubles team of Sean Anderson and Bradford Walter advanced to the state finals tennis tournament after winning titles at the LaPorte Regional on Saturday at the Northwest Athletic Club in Michigan City.

Zaderej, a senior, beat Plymouth’s Gabe Vervynckt, 6-0, 6-2, in the semifinal, then trumped Elkhart Memorial’s Mazin Hakim, 6-1, 6-3 in the final. Zaderej will take a 22-1 record into the finals, which begin Friday at Park Tudor High School. Good Luck!
