Not only was he selected as Minnesota Preps "Player of the Week" for January 3rd, 2011, but he helped lead the Wildcats to an extremely impressive 69-51 victory over 4th ranked (3A) Orono. In the game, Shelby poured in 33 points to go along with 20 rebounds. He followed up that effort with another double-double, contributing 28 points and 10 boards in another Wright County conference win over Litchfield. In recognition of this honor, Shelby will be receiving a commemorative "Player of the Week" personalized photo basketball award, complete with his photo and the Minnesota Preps insignia courtesy of PhotoBallGuy.com (www.photoballguy.com).
