Savannah Rees and Elena White scored two goals each to lead Eastern to a 7-0 victory over Rossville Thursday. Lindsey Fife made 12 save in goal for the Hornets (2-7), including a penalty kick save. Eastern outshot Rossville, 19-5.
"We played so much better than we have in the last few games, we just took on a real good team and the score was not indicative of the game," Rossville head coach Adam Barrett said. "I am encouraged for the rest of the season as the girls really did play much better. I never thought I would feel so good about a 7-nil loss, but I really did see a lot of improvement, we just played one of the best teams in the area."
