Rossville only scored four goals last season, so any time the Hornets can beat a team 14-1, as it did against Arsenal Tech Saturday, it's an important win.
"We've had long-suffering seasons," Rossville head coach Adam Barrett said. "It was a good victory."
Stonebraker led the scoring outburst with five goals while freshman Brooke Hughes tallied a hat trick with three goals and Kelsey Cook scored two. Miriam Dunlap, Lindsay Fife, Emily Virtue-Gamblin and Breanna Wainscott all scored a goal apiece.
"We were extremely disappointed the way we played in the opening game," Barrett said. "All the goals we gave up were the result of zero hustle and letting Frankfort take it to us instead of the other way. We told the girls if you're going to get beat by a better team that's fine, but don't get outhustled.
"We have a theme called WAP - with a purpose. Do everything with a purpose. When we do that, we play well."
