Rossville lost to Lafayette Central Catholic on Tuesday night, 33-22. Maggie Deboy led the Hornets with six points, while Cassidy Underwood and Jayden Murray scored four points each, and Skyler Miller, Marissa Heath, Cory Taylor and Samantha Haan had two points each.
SIXTH GRADE GIRLS BASKETBALL
Rossville’s A-team won its first game of the season with a 15-6 win over Carroll on Thursday. Madison Struck led the Hornets (1-3) with eight points. Robin Blackwell scored three points, and Sarah Allred and Camryn Geheb scored two points each. Courtney Rodkey and Madi McMains were noted for good defensive effort.
Rossville also won the B-team game, 20-5. Mica Royer, Macy Oliver and Allie Dunk scored six points each, and Sydney Marlow chipped in two points. Mia Moore was noted for her rebounding and defensive effort. Their record is now 3-0.
St. Lawrence 26, Rossville 16
Rossville fell to St. Lawrence, 26-16, on Tuesday. Nicole Nagel led the Hornets with eight points while Samantha Malson and Reagan Younker scored four points each.
Rossville’s A-team defeated Carroll, 26-6, on Thursday. Lauren Mohler led the Hornets with 12 points while Jayla Rosen and Nicole Nagel scored four points each, and Reagan Younker, Samantha Malson and Emma Bright scored two points each. Reanna Lowery, Sarah Taylor and Shaylin Moulton were noted for good team play.
Rossville beat Carroll in the B-team game, 26-10. Emily Longenecker scored eight points to lead the Hornets, Saige Darlin and Moulton scored six points each, and Ella Marley, Fiona Gillen and Bright scored two points each. Cammie Fadness and Madeline Thompson were noted for strong defense.
