Western Boone 101, Clinton Central 84
Clinton Central lost only its fourth dual meet of the season in a 101-84 setback to Western Boone on Tuesday. Winners for Central were Gracie Stewart in the 200-yard IM (2 minutes, 28.76 seconds) and 100 backstroke (1:11.32), Mikaela Reynolds in the 50 freestyle (27.15 seconds), Kylie Crenshaw in the 100 freestyle (1:01.16), Haley Niemann in the 500 freestyle (6:07.02) and the 400 freestyle relay team of Reynolds, Stewart, Niemann and Crenshaw (4:10.81).
Niemann set the freshman record with her swim in the 500 freestyle, previously held by Amber Huffer (6:12).
Kokomo 127, Frankfort 58
Frankfort ended its dual meet season with a 127-58 loss to Kokomo on Tuesday. Winners for Frankfort were Sofia Byrd in the 200 IM and Flor Valdes in the 100 butterfly.
Western Boone 144, Clinton Central 41
Western Boone won all but one event in Tuesday’s dual meet against Clinton Central, defeating the Bulldogs 144-41. Landon Brothers brought home CC’s only first place finish in diving (155.00 points).
Frankfort 111, Kokomo 72
Frankfort continued its impressive dual meet season (only one loss) with a 111-72 win over Kokomo on Tuesday. Winners for the Hot Dogs were Zac Arthur in the 50 freestyle, Jessie Rodriguez in diving, Charles Frey in the 100 butterfly, Kyle Giebel in the 500 freestyle and JT Montgomery in the 100 breaststroke.
Sheridan 48, Rossville 33
Sheridan defeated Rossville, 48-33, on Tuesday night.
8th GRADE BOYS’ BASKETBALL
Hornets win five games
Rossville won the Faith Christian Classic on Saturday. The Hornets beat Faith Christian in the first game, 49-34, led by Jared Warren’s 13 points. Matt Homco and Blake Miller each added nine points. In the title game, Rossville beat Attica, 57-33. Miller scored 13 points, Homco 12 points and Warren nine points. Harrison Whiteman scored eight points and Grant Mohler six points.
Rossville defeated Sheridan, 59-18. Homco scored 15 points, Warren 13 points, and Peyton Mohler and Grant Mohler chipped in eight and six points, respectively.
The Hornets also defeated Tri-County, 39-22. Warren tallied 12 points, Miller 11 points and Whiteman nine points.
Rossville also topped Delphi, 46-33. Warren led the Hornets with 15 points while Miller and Homco scored 11 and 10 points, respectively. Rossville also won the B-team, 44-13. Evan North scored 11 points 11 points, Bailey Spear 10 points and Nate Clendennen five points.
Rossville 61, Frankfort 37
Rossville defeated Frankfort, 61-37, on Tuesday. For Frankfort, Oscar Conde scored 14 points, Griffin Harris 11 points and Carter Taylor 10 points. The Hot Dogs are now 6-9.
Frankfort won the B-team, 34-33. For Frankfort, Jamain Flores scored 17 points, Jordan Ervin eight points and Tyler Hall four points.
7th GRADE BOYS’ BASKETBALL
Clinton Prairie 47, Western Boone 43
Sam Schoonveld scored 17 points to lead Clinton Prairie past Western Boone, 47-43, on Tuesday night. The Gophers (12-2) iced the game at the free throw line, shooting 21 free throws in the fourth quarter.
Logan Martin scored 12 points, Collin Stroup nine points, Kam Peters seven points and Brendan Smith two points.
The B-team lost to WeBo, 60-17. Sam Ecenbarger led the Gophers with eight points.
7th GRADE GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
Frankfort falls to Tecumseh
Both Frankfort’s A- and B-teams lost to Tecumseh on Tuesday night. Mackenzie Myars was the A-team’s leading scorer and Maisie Smith led the B-team.

Rossville wins 9 of 13 against WeBo
Rossville won nine of its 13 matches against Western Boone on Tuesday night. Winners for Rossville were Turbo Devaney, Hunter Hicks, Butch Devaney, Robby Gibson (two matches), Josh Guffey (two), David Hopkins and Austin Erdman.
