With Rossville trailing by four points heading into the final match, Hornet 182-pounder Jake Guffey pinned his opponent to get six points and give his team a 31-29 victory on Tuesday.
Also winning for Rossville were Ty Fadness (106), Zak Soiseth (113), Adam Easterday (132), Devon Hodgen (138) and Billy Dotson (220).
Clinton Prairie 54, Faith Christian 12
Clinton Prairie defeated Faith Christian, 54-12, on Tuesday. The Gophers won eight matches by forfeit, and Nathan Moore (152 pounds) overcame a previous loss to FC’s Joe Devaney by earning a pin.

Clinton Central 106, Attica 68
Clinton Central earned a 106-68 victory over Attica on Tuesday. Winners for CC were Haley Niemann in the 200-yard freestyle (2 minutes, 23.66 seconds), Gracie Stewart in the 50 freestyle (26.64) and 100 breaststroke (1:21.08), Taylor Smith in diving (129.80 points), Kylie Crenshaw in the 100 butterfly (1:13.36), Mikaela Reynolds in the 100 freestyle (1:03.49), the 200 medley relay team of Niemann, Stewart, Crenshaw and Smith (2:13.56), the 200 freestyle relay team of Stewart, Smith, Reynolds and Crenshaw (1:56.47) and the 400 freestyle relay team of Niemann, Megan Ferrel, Smith and Reynolds (4:49.86).

Clinton Central 113, Attica 60
Clinton Central defeated Attica in a dual meet, 113-60, on Tuesday. Winners for Central were Alex Humburg in the 200 freestyle (2:17.54), Trace Rhine in the 200 IM (2:48.89) and diving (134.10 points), Tyler Eads in the 100 butterfly (1:12.87), Landon Brothers in the 100 freestyle (58.53), Devin George in the 500 freestyle (7:00.21), Seth Kohl in the 100 breaststroke (1:24.58), the 200 medley relay of Eads, Rhine, Brothers and Evans (2:13.56), the 200 freestyle relay team of Brothers, Humburg, Michael Herr and Rhine (1:51.26) and the 400 freestyle relay team of Evans, Herr, Humburg and Eads (4:21.99).

Rossville takes on Frankfort
Rossville won 10 of the 14 matches against Frankfort in a dual meet on Tuesday. Earning those victories were Turbo Devaney (70), Ben Devaney (90, two wins), Jay Smith (100), Hunter Hicks (105), Austin Erdman (110), Butch Devaney (115), Robby Gibson (125) and Josh Guffey (130, two wins).
8th GRADE BASKETBALL
Tipton 46, Frankfort 6
Frankfort lost its season opener to Tipton, 46-6, on Tuesday. Damayra Ceja scored three points, Baileigh O’Brien two points and Daimarely Ceja one point. Noemi Santos led the team in rebounds.
Frankfort’s B-team also lost, 39-4. Kylie Cole scored two points and led the team in rebounds and steals. Mija De La Rosa also scored two points.
7th GRADE BASKETBALL
Frankfort falls to Tipton
Frankfort’s A-team lost to Tipton on Tuesday night. Mackenzie Myars led the Hot Dogs (0-1) in scoring.
Frankfort’s B-team won 25-5. Natalie Kelly and Estrella Cruz was the Hot Dogs’ leading scorer.
