Rossville won its first match of the season with a 5-0 victory over Attica on Tuesday. Levi Ellars won at No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-3; Lucas Zobel won at No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-1; Conner Remaly won, 6-3, 4-6, 6-1, at No. 3 singles; Kaleb Harness/Mason Reagan won, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 1 doubles; and Adam Easterday/Cory Disinger won 6-1, 4-6, 6-3, at No. 2 doubles.
Brock White won, 6-1, 6-0, in the lone junior varsity match.
Western Boone 4, Frankfort 1
Frankfort lost its first conference match of the year in a 4-1 loss to Western Boone on Tuesday. No. 1 singles player Mason Townsley earned the only win for Frankfort, a 7-5, 3-6, 7-5 decision over Jacob DeBard.
Derek Timmons lost, 4-6, 6-0, 6-1 to David James at No. 2 singles; Dalton Bush lost, 6-1, 6-2, to Tyler Squibb at No. 3 singles; David Miller/Andrew Lynch lost, 6-1, 6-4, to Ryan Nicley/Zach Childers at No. 1 doubles; and Wyatt Holston/Dallas Alquezada lost to Jason Smith/Quintin Martin, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 at No. 2 doubles.
Frankfort is 2-3 overall, and 0-1 in conference play.
Western Boone also won all the junior varsity matches. Charles Frey lost to Connor Corwin, 8-1; Brandon Townsley lost to Robbie Niehaus, 8-1; Brandon Townsley lost to Levi Michalke, 6-5; Connor Cotton/Preston Carson lost to Michalke/Nathan Isenhower, 8-6; and Daniel Rosales/Jonatan Lopez lost to Niehaus/Corwin, 8-3.

Bray wins Northwestern four-team meet
Frankfort sophomore Cody Bray won the boy’s race at the Northwestern 4-Way Meet on Tuesday with a time of 18 minutes, 17 seconds. As a team, the Hot Dogs were second (42 points) behind Northwestern (34). Tipton was third (46) and Lewis Cass fourth (96).
Angel Conde was fourth (19:16), Jesse Ricker 10th (20:00), Tyler Douglass 13th (20:36), Shawn Chambers 14th (20:39), Sam Regalado 18th (21:22) and Kaleb Emery 19th (21:29).
The Hot Dogs’ girls’ team finished third with 56 points. Lewis Cass was first (35), Northwestern second (37) and Tipton fourth (93).
For Frankfort, Cassidy Dubree was seventh (23:53), Kaylee Arthur eighth (24:13), Elizabeth Warwick ninth (24:14), Alyssa Shirar 14th (25:19), Hannah Calvert 18th (25:22), Adriana Olivas 22nd (27:50) and Catherine Haynes 24th (27:59).
Bulldogs sweep North Montgomery
Clinton Central’s Adam Miller won the boys’ race (18:22) to lead Clinton Central past North Montgomery, 27-28, on Tuesday. For CC, Logan Crum was third (19:08), Cameron Campbell sixth (20:23), Matt Rogers eighth (20:43), Chandler Watson ninth (20:50), Devin George 11th (21:14) and Ryan Herin 12th (21:56).
Central’s Leilah Miller (22:00) won the girls’ meet to lead the Bulldogs to a 17-38 victory. Maisley Strange was second (23:14), Kelly Fox third (23:36), Katelyn Ellis fourth (24:07), Anna Scott seventh (26:17), Madigan Strange ninth (26:54) and Katie Crawford 10th (27:49).
VOLLEYBALL
Harrison 3, Clinton Prairie 0
Clinton Prairie lost to Harrison, 3-0 (25-15, 25-10, 25-11) on Tuesday. For Prairie (1-4), Jade Mulvaney had four kills and four aces, Abby Clark three kills and four digs, Spencer Perkins six digs, Rachel Jackson one ace and Jasmine Hanna seven assists.
Harrison won the junior varsity match, 2-0 (25-14, 25-5). Rachel Jackson had 12 digs, Kayleigh Pletch 10 digs, Stephanie Blubaugh nine digs, Hailie Wilson one ace, Lyndsay Lehr four kills and Reagan Stroup five assists.
Clinton Central 3, Northwestern 1
Sydney Unger tallied 15 kills, four aces and four digs to lead Clinton Central past Northwestern, 3-1 (25-19, 22-25, 26-24, 25-14) on Tuesday. Stephanie Ellis finished with nine kills and three digs; Ashley Crider three kills; Leana Evans four digs; Demaris Crum three aces and 10 digs; Keily Campbell 28 assists and seven digs; Bailey Barrentine eight digs; Tenley Orr 15 digs and five kills; and Kylie Crenshaw nine kills.
“Northwestern covered the floor well defensively and forced us to work very hard for a kill,” said Central (6-2) head coach Jessica Barrentine. “We didn’t help ourselves with numerous errors throughout, with 16 errors coming from missed serves. We did have players step up in games three and four to finish the match. Sydney Unger served and hit tough, Kylie Crenshaw came up with kills at key times and Tenley Orr served well down the stretch.”
Central’s junior varsity team lost to Northwestern, 2-1 (25-23, 14-25, 15-8). Gracie Stewart tallied 16 assists, two aces and seven digs; Abby Jordan had five kills; Caitlyn Bradley two kills and eight digs; Shelbi Brown 10 digs and two aces; Aby Unger four aces and three digs; Lexie McQuinn four digs; Avree Barrett three kills; Whitney Ridenour five digs; and Mikaela Reynolds two kills.

Carroll 8, Rossville 0
Carroll shut out Rossville by an 8-0 score on Tuesday. Eli Wilson had three saves in goal for the Hornets.
