Gryphons cruise past visiting Knights

More than a week without playing a game had no affect on Rocky Mount High's Allison Raper, who scored a hat trick Monday. Raper's three goals were enough to earn the 3-0 home victory against Northern Nash.
"We weren't sure what to expect after the long layoff," Rocky Mount coach Drew Nick said. "Our focus was to be the first to the ball, and we were today." The Knights (8-3, 3-3 NEW 6) fell behind early, thanks to a Raper goal in the sixth minute that she toed in off a pass from Caroline Gray.
