The bleachers, scorer's table and entrance of Rocky Mount High's gymnasium were all adorned with pink balloons for Thursday's volleyball contest. The decorations were to commemorate the Susan G. Komen Foundation's "Fight for The Cure" to cancer.

The Gryphons took advantage of an 18-kill performance by senior Timisha Walker to garner a 3-1 (23-25, 25-17, 25-21, 25-18) victory against the Knights.
"I tried to dig down and play as hard as I could," Walker said. "Knowing this was my last regular-season game at home had a big impact on me."
