Easter InvitationalMarch 9, 2012 Rocky Mount High SchoolFOUR OAKS - Rocky Mount's baseball team is set to play in the annual Johnston County Easter Invitational Baseball Tournament whick will be played March 31, April 2-3 at South Johnston High School's Bruce Coats Field. It will be the third straight season the Gryphons will play in the event. RMHS lost in the championship game in 2009 and finished in fifth place in 2010. They will open this year's tournament against Clayton on Saturday, March 31 at 2 p.m. The field will include eight teams including Corinth Holders, Smithfield-Selma, Clayton, Cleveland, West Johnston, Middle Creek and host South Johnston. Here is the tournament schedule:
Saturday, March 31 Game 1: Middle Creek vs. Cleveland, noon
Monday, April 2 Game 5, Consolation: Loser Game 1 vs. Loser Game 2, noon Tuesday, April 3 Game 9, Consolation: Game 5 loser vs. Game 6 loser, noon
