Stearns boys are ready for another successful season

Orono - The Stearns Minutemen boys basketball have a seasoned basketball team with most of their players coming back from last year’s team. The Minutemen know their class “C” schedule is very difficult, but they are poised to make the playoffs again this year.

Stearns returns to senior starters from last year’s team. Riley Whitney and Kyle Mclean have worked really hard in the off season, which will help the Minutemen be competitive with some of the top teams in class “C”. Even though Stearns has most of their players coming back from last year, a majority of their team are sophomores. The Minutemen are excited for the upcoming season and know they are going to have to play their best every night.    

Stearns boys basketball coach Greg Martar feels his team is in good position to have another good season. I talked to coach Martar about the upcoming season and he talked about the hard work from his two senior leaders in the off-season.
