(Watch video interview at end of article with Old Town boys coach Brian McDormand)

Old Town - The Old Town Coyotes boys basketball team is much improved from last season. Brian McDormand’s club finished in 15th place with a record of 5-13, a season ago. They competed in many of their games last year, but they could not turn them into wins.

The Coyotes return nine players from last year, which helps them because everyone has experience playing in games. Old Town is led by Senior Garrett Libby, who was the Big East Player of the Year last season. Seniors Cam Archer (point guard) and Zack Bartlett (forward) are coming back, which will give them great guard play and post presence this year. The Coyotes have the capabilities to bring players off the bench to help contribute to the scoring effort.

Old Town boys basketball coach McDormand is in his third year and is optimistic about the upcoming season. I talked to McDormand about his expectations for this year.
