Ridge Advances in Southlake Tournament

December 4, 2009
By Jonathan Cox of Fossil Ridge Boys' Basketball

In the first round of the Southlake Carroll Tournament, The Fossil Ridge Panthers took on Waco Midway Thursday night.  After trailing much of the game, the Panthers fought back into the game, and found a way to win in the 4th Quarter 53 to 49.

We were led by 15 points a piece from Julian Edmonson and Dre Anderson, as well as 11 points in the 2nd half from Mark Munson.  Late 3 pointers from Garrett O'Hanlon and Josh Licerio, as well as a pair of late free throws by Licerio to seal the win also played crucial roles in the victory.

The Fossil Ridge Panthers take on Flower Mound Marcus again Friday night at 8:30 at Southlake Carroll High School.

The Freshmen A and B Teams are playing tonight in the Keller Central tournament, and the J.V. is in a Southlake tournement tonight as well.
