RATS LOSE ON THE ROAD AT BUTLER

The Butler Blue Sox (17-13) beat the Richmond RiverRats (11-18) 5-2 on Tuesday at Pullman Park behind Nick Sell, who collected three hits.

He tripled in the third innings and singled in the sixth and eighth innings. 

Adam Bleday pitched 6 2/3 innings and allowed no earned runs, five hits and two walks while striking out two. 

Michael Paez had two extra-base hits for the Richmond RiverRats. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the third and fifth innings. 

Alex Martin got the win, running his season record to 1-1. Martin struck out two, walked one and gave up no hits.

Sean Safko was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
