The Richmond RiverRats (10-12)'s four first-inning runs built an early lead that helped bring home a 5-1 win over the Hannibal Cavemen (11-12) on Monday at Clemens Field.
Luke Cureton led the Richmond RiverRats' offensive threat, as he got on base four times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI.
Chad Whitmer put together a nice outing. Whitmer held the Hannibal Cavemen hitless over four innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.
