Schneiders allows no runs to lead the Richmond RiverRats past the Quincy Gems 6-0

Patrick Schneiders held the Quincy Gems (12-9) scoreless for six innings to boost the Richmond RiverRats (9-12) to a 6-0 victory.

Schneiders struck out three and allowed one walk and five hits. 

The Richmond RiverRats blew out the Quincy Gems thanks to nine hits, including zero extra base hits. A three-run home run by Kyle Jackson helped the Richmond RiverRats score three runs in the first. The Richmond RiverRats had two hits in the inning.

Jackson racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Richmond RiverRats. 

Kyle Cedotal (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out three.
