The Richmond RiverRats (7-12) shut the door early on the Champion City Kings (10-7), capturing a 10-2 victory on Tuesday at McBride Stadium.

The game was decided quickly as the Richmond RiverRats exerted their will early with five runs in the first three innings.

An RBI double by Brendon Neel and a groundout by Kyle Jacksonduring the first inning supplied the early offense for the Richmond RiverRats. 

Neel racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Richmond RiverRats. 

Reed Evans picked up the win for the Richmond RiverRats. Evans allowed one earned run, six hits and two walks while striking out two over seven innings of work. 

Joey Mancuso racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Champion City Kings. He homered in the fourth inning. 

Luke Mamer (3-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed nine runs in four innings, walked none and struck out none.
