It was a natural move.
With their baseball connections in Richmond already running deep, it wasn’t much of a stretch for Deanna Beaman and Tyler Lairson to become co-owners of Hitters Hangout Academy, too.
The duo took over ownership of the indoor hitting facility from John Cate earlier this month.
“It’s natural with what we’re trying to do with the community, and trying to continue to help kids and provide that opportunity for kids to get better at both baseball and softball,” said Beaman, who is also general manager and co-owner of the Richmond RiverRats, a collegiate woodbat team that plays in the Prospect League.
