Seven of the RiverRats’ final nine games this week are on the road, with four of them taking place at first-half winner West Virginia. Richmond holds a tenuous grasp on first place in the second half. The RiverRats are a half-game ahead of Chillicothe, and the Prospect League’s regular season ends Monday. Richmond is 13-7 and Chillicothe is 14-9. The RiverRats will not make up a rained out game against Butler. Richmond travels tonight to take on Lorain County in the first of two games against the Ironmen. The RiverRats’ final two home games of the regular season are Thursday and Friday opposite Slippery Rock. “Nothing new,” Richmond manger Tyler Lairson said of the number of road games in the final week. “I think we’ll have confidence of going to Lorain and playing and I think we’ll have confidence with Slippery, playing at home.” http://www.pal-item.com/article/20120730/SPORTS/307300026/RiverRats-2nd-half-quest-about-hit-road
