With Chillicothe leading 8-2 in the sixth inning, a tree broke onto the the field, breaking the fence and making conditions unplayable, putting an early end to the game. With five innings already in the books, the game was official and considered complete, putting the RiverRat record at 9-4 in the second half. The ’Rats got out to an early lead for the second straight day, as Jake Welch hit a lead-off home run in a two-run first. The Paints tied the game with two in the third and used another big inning for a second straight rally, with five in the fourth.
