RiverRats' streak reaches six straight wins

SLIPPERY ROCK, PA. — Make it six straight for the streaking RiverRats.

Richmond remained at the top of the Prospect League’s East Division in the second half as the RiverRats bested Slippery Rock for the third straight time, winning 5-1 on Monday at the Sliders’ Critchfield Park.

Richmond swept a two-game series from Slippery Rock at McBride Stadium on Saturday and Sunday.

It was the sixth straight victory for the ’Rats, who are 6-1 in the second half. Richmond is in first place in the East as the league takes a three-day break for Wednesday’s All-Star Game.

Richmond didn’t give Slippery Rock a break on Monday.
