'Rats rally for doubleheader sweep

LORAIN, OHIO — After being rained out on Thursday, the RiverRats used timely hitting to win the first game of Friday’s doubleheader 3-0 before rallying for a 12-9 slugfest victory in Game 2.

Lorain County took a 6-0 lead after two innings in Game 2 and when a Cody Campbell three-run homer made it 6-4 in the fifth, the Ironmen responded with three of their own in the bottom half to pull away 9-4.

Richmond (3-1, 18-16) pulled back even with a big five-run sixth, before adding three in the seventh for the win.
