Chillicothe kept Peacock Road busy.

The Paints blasted five home runs Tuesday night, three of which cleared both fences at McBride Stadium and found their way to the street in a 16-1 victory over Richmond.

It was a strong start to the second half for Chillicothe, and a continuation of how the Paints finished the Prospect League’s first half last week. They scored 50 runs in two victories last Friday and Saturday, including a 30-run outpouring in Saturday’s win over Slippery Rock.

“They’re a good ballclub. They’re a good offensive club,” Richmond manager Tyler Lairson said of the Paints. “They can hurt you when you make mistakes and they take advantage when you make mistakes.”
