RATS WIN AT CHILLICOTHE

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Richmond salvaged a series split with Chillicothe on Sunday as the RiverRats halted the Paints 7-4.

Richmond built a 7-0 lead after scoring twice in the top of the third inning, followed by five more in the fifth. 

The ’Rats have now won six of their past seven games and are 13-11 in the Prospect League’s East Division. 

Derek Trovillion had three RBIs for Richmond. Nolan Earley had his hitting streak snapped at 19 games, but the Anderson native still provided an RBI and a run scored for the ’Rats.
