'Rats' streak ends at 5

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Richmond RiverRats were not quite ready to let Chillicothe snap their five-game winning streak on Saturday.

J. T. Miller and Trace Dempsey gave them no choice. 

Miller struck out eight RiverRats over six innings, allowing just four Richmond hits as the Paints halted the RiverRats 7-4. 

Trailing 7-1, the ’Rats got to Paints reliever Mike Dodakian in the ninth, scoring three runs via back-to-back doubles from Nolan Earley and Cody Campbell and a sacrifice fly from Jake Mahon, but Dempsey came in to retire the final two batters and earn the save.
