'Rats halt three-game slide

Tyler Lairson liked what he saw from his squad during Thursday’s batting practice session. 

The Richmond manager saw more of the same when the RiverRats stepped to the plate at McBride Stadium for the real thing later that night. 

Jake Welch and Justin Pearson started the game with back-to-back doubles and the ’Rats never looked back, halting Slippery Rock 8-3.
