RATS LOSE ON ROAD

LORAIN, Ohio — Nolan Earley had four hits and three RBIs, but a Richmond rally fell just short on Tuesday, as the Lorain County Ironmen defeated the RiverRats 6-5.

Ray Delvalle and Jake Welch had back-to-back, one-out singles in the ninth, before Welch scored on a single by Earley, but Matt Panek got Justin Pearson to fly out and struck out Cody Campbell with two runners on to end the threat.
