Varsity & JV Teams Defeat Raptors and Spuds!

The Raiders teams had a busy week of travelling.  The Raiders went over to Woodbury on Tue., Jan. 15th to face the East Ridge Raptors.  The JV team was able to force the game into overtime and come out victorious 48-46.  The Varsity team took the floor then and after a slow start was able to find their groove and win 51-38. 

The Raiders made the long trek up to Moorhead on Friday and played the Moorhead Spuds on Sat., Jan. 19th for a matinee game.  The cold weather did not stop the JV team has they got off to a big lead and never looked back winning 50-14.  Defense was the story for the Varsity team as they held their opponent without a field goal for long droughts throughout the game.  The Varsity team won 67-40.

Victories improved the record for both squads.  JV is 14-2 overall and 7-1 in conference play.  Varsity is 15-1 and 8-0 in conference play.
