Mid-season report

The Lady Bombers Tennis team has been busy playing matches starting on April 8 when Hanover Central came to town. The lady Bombers put up a good fight but came away with a 3-2 lost.

The Bombers then traveled to Lafayette to take on Central Catholic on April 10th and again had a match that went down to the wire with the Bombers coming away with another 3-2 loss.

On April 17th the Spartans of North Newton came to town. The Bombers played well which allowed the Bombers to come away with a 5-0 win.

The Bombers traveled to Delphi for a double header with conference foes Tipton/Delphi. In the first match the  Bombers took on Tipton  in a hard fought battle but came away with a 3-2 loss. In the second match against Delphi the Bombers were ready to play after their close loss early and came away with a 3-2 victory.

On April 22 the Bombers traveled to Hammond to take on Hammond Gavit in a long match to earn a win coming away with a 3-2 win.

On April 24 the Bombers started to get a little road weary again being on the road traveling to Benton Central to take on the Bison. The Bison were tough on this day and handed the Bombers a 4-1 defeat.

On April 28 the Bulldogs of Crown Point came to Rensselaer to take on the Bombers and handed the Bombers a 5-0 defeat.

Here comes May 5th and the Blue Jays came to town to battle the Bombers. The Bombers were ready to take care of business coming away with a 4-1 victory.

The Bombers are lead by the Sr. number 1 doubles team of Courtney Schleman/Zyan Woudema who are 8-1 on the season. The team is 4-5 on the season at this point.
