Rensselaer Boys Soccer Game Results
The Boys Soccer Team once again had a strong defensive showing in a 6 – 0 victory on Saturday versus Hammond Gavit. The defensive nucleus consisting of Nathan Myers, Bryce Deno, Braden Dobson, Jacob Foster, and goalie Simmeon Gastineau are denying their opponent’s offense any easy looks at the goal. The Bomber defense is fast and skilled at their positions and has a good sense of where they need to place the ball and themselves when other teams are trying to attack in any formation. They do a very good job at intercepting passes that would appear to have a clear passing lane but get closed up quickly because of their aggressive type of play. Rensselaer has had 3 shut-outs this season, and has only allowed 20 total goals after 13 games. The defense is giving up less than 2 goals a game on average, and the offense is producing 4 goals a game on average. This is the 7th win in a row for the Bombers including winning the Hoosier Conference Tournament last weekend. Their record now stands at 10 – 2 – 1. Their next game is Monday evening win they travel to Hobart for a 5:00 PM game.
