Lady Bombers 2-0 for First Time since 2007

Rensselaer Central traveled to Knox on Saturday night and defeated Knox 41-39 in a hard-fought, physical contest to begin the season 2-0 for the 1st time since 2007.  The Lady Bombers led 13-8 at the end of the 1st quarter, it was tied 19-19 at halftime, and RC took a 30-25 lead into a hectic 4th quarter.  The Lady Bombers fell behind 35-32 midway through the final quarter before mounting a determined comeback to get the win.  Aimee Mattocks had 13 points and 6 rebounds.  Emilie Ziese had 13 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 blocked shots. Laura Tonner added 11 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists.  Rachael Dobson also had 3 assists, and Chelsea Hughes dished out 3 assists.

The Lady Bombers will next be in action on Tuesday when they travel to North Newton.
