Mrs. Shinkle

By:  Laken Johnson

Not necessarily a “new” face to Remington High School, Amanda Shinkle, has joined us for yet another year of learning. Previously she worked here as one of the para educators, but now she’s working in the VPL room. In other words, she watches over the kids if they take online classes, or need credit recovery. As a WSU graduate, she has spent 20 working in the social work and education systems. Growing up fairly local, at Andover, family and farming are important to her. In her spare time, she enjoys doing just what every country girl loves; farming, showing cattle, being active in 4-H, and participating in church events. She has two sons; Cody, who is a RHS graduate currently studying at Emporia State, and Casey, who is no stranger at the high school, being a sophomore this year and keeping up with everything happening. This is the part where we would welcome her, but I think a thank you is more appropriate here. So thank you for what you’ve done in the past, and we are excited for another year with you!
