Track Meet at Hillsboro

On Friday, May 2nd the varsity track team traveled to Hillsboro to compete in the James Thomas Invitational Meet. Kylee Schunn got first in Shot Put with a throw of 27-07.50 ft, Jayden Clark got eleventh with a throw of 26-04.75 ft, Joey Laham got second in boys shot put with a throw of 43-07.75 ft and Garet Johnson got eighth with a throw of 39-11.75 ft. In boys discus Garet Johnson got sixth with a throw of 116-08 ft and Joey Laham got eighth with a throw of 112-02 ft. In boys high jump Todd Entz got eleventh with a height of 5-04.00 ft. Mady Tanner got tenth in girls long jump with a jump of 13-7.50 ft. In girls javelin Mady Tanner placed twelfth with a throw of 74-02 ft and Tabitha Abel placed thirteenth with a throw of 71-05 ft. In boys javelin Wyatt Lear placed third with a throw of 151-03 ft. In girls pole vault Tristin Thiessen placed third with a height of 7 ft. In boys pole vault Leaf Howell placed fifth with a height of 8 ft and Zach Thornburg placed sixth with a height of 8 ft as well. Meghan Nipper, Kaitylnn Abel, Laken Johnson and Sarah Chaney placed fourth in the 4x800 meter relay and Devin Reeves, John Brunner, Keegan Cook and Zach Thornburg placed fourth as well in the boys 4x800 meter relay. Bradley Johnson placed fifth in the boys 110 meter hurdles. Keegan Cook placed eleventh in the boys 1600 meter run. Jayden Clark, Laken Johnson, Tabitha Abel and Audria Thompson placed ninth in the girls 4x100 meter relay. Todd Entz placed fourteenth in the 400 meter dash and Leaf Howell placed 20th. Tristin Thiessen placed tenth in 300 meter hurdles and Laken Johnson placed eleventh. Bradley Johnson placed seventh in the boys 300 hundred meter hurdles and Dakotah Gillmore placed thirteenth. John Brunner placed fifth in the boys 800 meter run. Meghan Nipper, Tabitha Abel, Tristin Thiessen, and Audria Thompson placed ninth in the girls 4x400 meter relay and Devin Reeves, Keegan Cook, Zach Thornburg and Todd Entz placed ninth in the boys 4x400 meter relay. Overall the boys and girls each placed ninth out of a total of thirteen teams. The next varsity track meet is May 9th at home. Good luck everyone!
