ST. LEON, Ind. – Grace Townsend and Sydney Townsend each had two hits for Richmond on Thursday during the Red Devils’ 11-4 loss to East Central.

Ryanne Spicer had a double for the Red Devils (5-6), who play Saturday at NCC foe Marion in a doubleheader.

RHS coach Kyle Ingram said the score was not indicative of his team’s effort on the diamond.

“We got better tonight, even though we lost,” Ingram said. “We had a nice outing at the plate. We’re still growing defensively, but we got better tonight.”
