Plenty of talent coming to Richmond Saturday
Richmond will be the site for the Class 2A Semi-state and the Class 3A semi-state games featuring Linton-Stockton, Speedway, Greensburg and Mt. Vernon (Fortville). Basketball fans will see plenty of excellent players with many already committed to college programs or others receiving attention. The following is a list of players to watch for Saturday:
SPEEDWAY: 6-4 Sophomore Guard Anthony Jones. Jones is getting interest from Detroit, Illinois, Evansville, Toledo, Indiana State and IUPUI. 6-3 Junior Guard Justin Brent has already committed to Notre Dame to play football. Brent is a 4-star receiver.
GREENSBURG: 6-3 Junior Guard Bryant McIntosh. McIntosh has committed to Indiana State. 6-7 Junior Forward Sean Sellers has received offers from IUPUI and many Mid-Major colleges. 6-8 Sophomore forward Ryan Welage has interest from Indiana, Purdue, Nebraska, Michigan and Indiana State.
MT. VERNON: 6-3 Junior Guard CJ Coleman has interest from Western Michigan, Stetson, Lamar, Southern Illinois and Loyola. 6-6 Senior Forward Stephen Turner has an offer from IU East and interest from Central Michigan, Toledo and Lake Erie (Division II).
LINTON-STOCKTON: Players receiving interest include 6-8 senior C/F Austin Karazsia, who scored 22 against Perry Central in the regional. 6-5 Senior Forward Dess Fougerousse. Fougerousse scored 26 points and grabbed 13 rebounds last week against Perry Central.
