INDIANA VS PENN STATE TONIGHT

Indiana plays host to Penn State tonight. The two teams last played on Jan. 7, with IU beating Penn State 74-51 win at PSU. IU has won the last four meetings. Indiana is ranked 7th by the Associated Press and 8th in the Coaches Poll. This is the 24th straight week the Hoosiers have been nationally ranked. Indiana is ranked in the top 10 in field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense. The Hoosiers are fifth in field goal percentage (50.2). Indiana is also seventh in field goal percentage defense (37.0). Indiana's RPI strength of schedule is 18.
Cody Zeller is leading the charge: He has had three double-doubles in the first five games of conference play and is averaging 19.2 points, 8.8 rebounds and shooting 62.3 percent from the field and 76.9 percent from the line. His 34.5 points/rebounds/assists per 40 minutes played is number one in the Big Ten. Zeller was named Big Ten Co-Player of the Week on January 14. He averaged 22 points and 11.5 rebounds.
Indiana leads the nation in scoring margin (23.8), free throws made (372) and free throws attempted (501) and are second in scoring (84.4). The Hoosiers also lead the Big Ten in free throw percentage (74.3), 3-point field goal percentage (41.3, 7th nationally), rebound margin (+11.1, 2nd nationally), and field goal percentage defense (37.0, 8th nationally). Junior Victor Oladipo is second in the country in effective field goal percentage at 71.5 percent and is third in the nation in overall field goal percentage at 66.4 percent. Cody Zeller is seventh in the country in field goal percentage at 62.5 percent, senior Jordan Hulls' 3-point field goal percentage (51.2) ranks fourth in the nation.
Zeller leads the Big Ten in points/rebounds/assists per 40 mins (36.8), FTMPG (5.5) and FTA (7.6). He is fourth in scoring (17.2), tied for first in REB. (8.2), third in FG% (62.5), and seventh in BS (1.3). He has posted back-to-back 20-point, 10-rebound games against Wisconsin (23-10) and Northwestern (21-13), giving him 10 career double-doubles. Christian Watford leads in FT percentage (85.9), is third in 3-point field goal percentage (46.7), and ninth in rebounding (6.6). Oladipo is first in field goal percentage (66.4) and steals (2.2). Jordan Hulls is the top 3-point shooter at 51.2 percent, is third in 3-point field goals made per game (2.4), fourth in assist/turnover ratio (2.5), and 10th in assists (3.5). Yogi Ferrell is second in the Big Ten in assists (4.8). Will Sheehey is tops among Big Ten non-starters with a 10.4 scoring average off the bench. The Hoosiers are the only team in the Big Ten with five players averaging 10 points or better per game (Zeller, 16.9; Oladipo, 13.5; Watford, 12.8; Hulls, 11.2; Sheehey, 10.4).
