(Portland, IN)      Mackenzie Taylor scored 22 points, Bailey Hillard added 10 as the Richmond girls basketball team defeated Jay County Tuesday 44-42.  The Red Devils held the Patriots to only five points in the fourth quarter.  Richmond had a 12 point lead in the first half before the Patriots took a one point lead in the fourth quarter.  Richmond’s defense turned Jay County over 22 times.  Richmond evened its record at 10-10 while Jay County fell to 7-11.  Richmond will host Marion Friday night at the Tiernan Center.   Richmond will play Guerin  Catholic January 31^st to finish the regular season.  The tournament draw is Sunday night.
