Men's Basketball - Brian Gunter, Hanover College

Hanover College senior forward Brian Gunter (Louisville, Ky./St. Xavier) set
his career scoring mark twice to lead the Panthers to a pair of league wins
and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's
Basketball Player of the Week.  The senior posted a career-high 19 points
with six rebounds to help HC beat Anderson 89-66 Wednesday.  He followed
that performance with a career-high 31 points and seven rebounds in an 84-74
win over Defiance Saturday.  For the week, Gunter averaged 25.0 points and
6.5 rebounds per contest, while shooting 70.3% (19-of-27) from the floor and
55.6% from behind the arc (5-of-9).  Hanover (11-6, 8-2 HCAC) has won six
straight and will face Mount St. Joseph and Manchester this week.




Women's Basketball - Nicole Coffman, Transylvania University

Transylvania University's Nicole Coffman (Liberty, Ky./Casey Co.) led the
Pioneers to a pair of conference victories last week and has been named the
Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the
Week for the second time.  The sophomore guard tied her career high against
Anderson, netting 30 points on 10-of-19 shooting from the field.  Coffman
added 19 points in a win over Mount St. Joseph Wednesday evening.  For the
week, the senior averaged 24.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per
game, while shooting 50% from the floor.  Transylvania (13-4, 9-1 HCAC)
currently holds a one game lead in the conference standings and will face
Franklin and Defiance on the road this week.




Men's Track Athlete - Zeth Baker, Manchester University

Manchester University's Zeth Baker (Waterloo, Ind.) earned two individual
titles for the Spartans at the Rose-Hulman Friday Night Invitational and has
been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Indoor Track
Athlete of the Week.  The senior won the mile run with a time of 4:23.19,
defeating the field by more than 11 seconds.  Baker also earned the top time
in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:59.48. 




Men's Field Athlete - Greg Larmore, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology

Rose-Hulman's Greg Larmore (Deerfield, Ill./H.S.) won the weight throw at
the Rose-Hulman Friday Night Invitational with the second-best mark in RHIT
history and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference
Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.  The senior recorded an HCAC-best
toss of 53' 3.5" to win the event and help the Engineers win the six team
meet.




Women's Track Athlete - Creasy Clauser, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology


Rose-Hulman's Creasy Clauser (Crawfordsville, Ind./Southmont) won three
events at the Rose-Hulman Friday Night Invitational and has been named the
Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the
Week.  The senior won the 200-meter dash with an HCAC-best time of 27.18 and
helped RHIT sweep two relay events at the meet.  Clauser was part of the
4-x-200 meter relay team that finished with the third best time in school
history (1:51.70) and helped the 4-x-400 meter relay team also capture top
honors.




Women's Field Athlete - Emily Boyd, Hanover College

Hanover College's Emily Boyd (Indianapolis, Ind./Lawrence Central) set a new
school record in the weight throw at the Rose-Hulman Friday Night
Invitational and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference
Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.  The senior set the new mark with
a first place heave of 46' 3.5", improving the record by more than half a
meter.  The Panthers finished first among six competing schools.
