The Pacers signed coach Frank Vogel to a contract extension.

 

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll revealed that defensive end Chris Clemons tore the anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus in his knee during Seattle's 24-14 Wild Card victory over the Washington Redskins on ending his season.

 

Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III will fly to Birmingham, Ala., to see Dr. James Andrews for more tests on his injured right knee.  Reports say Griffin has torn ligaments in the knee.

 

The Rangers signed first baseman/designated hitter Lance Berkman to a one-year contract with a club option for 2014.

 

Center Dwight Howard and forward Pau Gasol are out indefinitely with injuries sustained in Sunday's loss to Denver.

 

The NBA fined Atlanta Hawks general manager Danny Ferry $15,000.  The fine is for inappropriate interaction Ferry had with game officials.

 

 Celtics guard Rajon Rondo has been suspended one game without pay for making contact with a game official
