MAC East Player of the Week
Alexis Rogers, Bowling Green, Forward
R-Junior, West Chester, Ohio (Lakota West) (Duke Univ.)
Redshirt junior forward Alexis Rogers had a double-double for the second-straight game, leading the Falcons to a dominant win over a nationally-ranked team.  Rogers had game-high totals of 20 points, 10 rebounds and six steals as BGSU defeated #14/15 Dayton, 65-40, in the Falcons’ lone game of the week.  She impacted the game at both ends of the court, with five rebounds at both the offensive and defensive end as well as the six steals, which fell just one shy of her career high. Rogers helped the BGSU defense hold Dayton to just four second-half field goals, as the Flyers went 4-of-25 (16.0%) in the final 20 minutes.  The Flyers, who entered the game with a 12-0 record, were averaging 82.6 points per game, but Rogers & the Falcons held UD more than 42 points under that average.  Rogers went 11-for-13 from the free-throw line in the win.  On the season, Rogers is averaging 11.3 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game.  She leads the Falcons in rebounds and steals and is second in scoring.  After averaging 5.9 points and 5.3 rebounds over her first seven games of the year, Rogers has averaged 20.8 points and 9.0 rebounds over the last four games.  She has also averaged 4.0 steals per game in that time.  BGSU has won six consecutive games, and the Falcons are now 9-3 on the season.
