WOODY AUSTIN TO BE HONORED

Former Richmond and Purdue men's basketball players Woody Austin has been named to the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame's 2013 Silver Anniversary Team.
The team includes all 12 members of the 1988 Indiana All-Star squad, as well as six additional all-state honorees.
Austin, the 1988 Mr. Basketball at Richmond High School, averaged 33 points per game his senior year at RHS and 11.6 points and 3.1 rebounds per game for the Boilermakers from 1989-92. He was a first-team All-Big Ten selection as a senior, and currently ranks fourth in Purdue history in three-point field goal percentage (.439) and 39th in scoring (1,076).
The Silver Anniversary Team will be honored at the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame's annual banquet on March 20, 2013. A midday reception, free and open to the public, will be held at the Hall of Fame museum in New Castle, and the banquet will be held that evening at the Primo Banquet Hall in Indianapolis.
