Athletics Manager  Bob Melvin and the Washington Nationals' Davey Johnson have been named the 2012 Managers of the Year.

The Miami Marlins and Toronto Blue Jays have made a mega-trade sending shortstop Jose Reyes and pitchers Josh Johnson and Mark Buehrle to Toronto.  The Marlins would acquire shortstop Yunel Escobar, catcher Jeff Mathis, infielder Adeiny Hechavarria, pitcher Henderson Alvarez and a pair of highly regarded prospects -- outfielder Jake Marisnick and pitcher Justin Nicolino -- in the 12-player deal, with Toronto also receiving utilityman Emilio Bonifacio and catcher John Buck.
