Micaëlla Riché, Minnesota

6-2, Jr., F, Gloucester, Ontario/Louis Riel

·         Averaged a double-double with 24.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per game,
while shooting 68 percent from the floor, to help Minnesota win the Best Buy Classic
over the weekend

·         Posted career highs with 29 points and 14 rebounds in a double-overtime
victory against Washington State, a game in which she played 49 minutes

·         Added her second 20-point outing of the weekend against Villanova,
finishing with 20 points and six rebounds, also adding two blocks in just 25 minutes
of play

·         Wins her first Big Ten Player of the Week award

Freshman of the Week

Lauren Douglas, Northwestern

6-2, F, Collierville, Tenn./Briarcrest Christian

·         Averaged 13.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game to help
Northwestern to a pair of victories in her debut weekend

·         Posted her first collegiate double-double on Sunday against Central
Michigan, finishing with 20 points and 10 rebounds, adding two assists and two
blocks in the victory

·         In her debut against Tennessee-Martin, finished with seven points, six
rebounds, six assists and two steals in the Wildcat win

·         Wins her first Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor
